Threshing and winnowing rice in field. New cultivars grow faster and are much easier to harvest, sadly this means the decent red and black "wild" or original land rice varieties, are becoming rarer. Land taxes in Bali are very high; this drives perverse decisions, unless you are the exchequer in Jakarta interested in milking the Balinese cow to the max.
